The All on 4 Process
How All On 4 Dental Implants Work
The majority of your custom personal planning is done at your initial evaluation, preparing you for a smooth, efficient procedure. To start, Traynor Periodontics & Implants will capture a Cone Beam CT scan to evaluate in detail all aspects of your jaw, such as bone density, mass, integrity, or bone loss. Next, we will determine together the final look of your replacement teeth and any personal needs for your procedure. After this pre-work evaluation, a dental lab then creates a guided surgical template for us, which allows your team at Traynor Periodontics & Implants to place your dental implants specifically in the most precise and ideal spots using state-of-the-art software. This step will also allow the lab to custom design your restoration that will be placed onto your implants the same day of your implant surgery and complete your treatment with the utmost efficiency.
At the start of your procedure, any unhealthy teeth must be removed. We then surgically place your tiny, titanium, All-on-4, dental implants into your jaw. Once we have completed this step, we can place your restoration. This preliminary set of teeth is usually temporary and will be worn while you are healing from the surgery. Once your gums and jawbone have healed, your final set of permanent teeth will be placed at a follow-up appointment. The post-procedure healing time is minimal for All-on-4 dental implants, and you can return to work or your regular activities the following day. For several months following your procedure, your gums and jawbone will heal and reach the desired osseointegration. This means that your jawbone and gums will bond and fuse with your new implants, forming a stable, secure, and healthy integration of your dental implants to your jaw. Like with your natural teeth, it is important that you maintain good daily hygiene habits, including brushing and flossing. In addition to practicing your daily self-care, the most important thing you can do to compliment your work for your oral health is to schedule regular visits with Traynor Periodontics & Implants every six months. During your routine checkups, we will monitor the overall state of your oral health and assess how well your All-on-4 implants are doing. We will also catch any additional issues before they develop. By maintaining these simple habits, you can prevent additional issues from developing in the future.

Like most dental procedures, your final cost will be determined by a number of personal factors, like the severity of your case, if any sedation is used, the number of total appointments, any extra lab materials, and what type of dental insurance plan you have. We can provide you with an accurate estimate after completing your 3D CT scan.
Traynor Periodontics & Implants does accept most dental insurance programs and can help by submitting a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance company to determine your benefits. If you are not currently covered by dental insurance or have other concerns, we will be happy to discuss other financial arrangements with you.
